Gay social network Blued has announced a partnership with Gaydio which will see them live-stream upcoming radio shows.
Blued, the gay social app from China that arrived in Europe this Summer, streamed Gaydio’s coverage of Manchester Pride last month, which saw an audience of 300,000 attend the Big Weekend event. Over the next few weeks you’ll be able to watch a number of Gaydio’s shows straight from Blued, including the popular breakfast show, with special exclusive footage for the social network.
Gaydio is the UK’s LGBT radio station, and with an average weekly audience of over half a million listeners it is the largest gay station in the world. Playing dance and pop music, it broadcasts on DAB Digital Radio across the UK including London, Manchester and Brighton. Chris & Emma at Breakfast broadcasts weekdays from 7am – 10am with other schedule highlights including Hollyoaks’ Kieron Richardson on Sunday afternoons at 4pm and nightly Headliners at 10pm including Tiesto and Armin van Buuren.
Some of the shows Blued will be streaming include:
- Chris & Emma at Breakfast, live from the studio (Fri Sept 8 and 22nd)
- Kriss Herberts Anthems hour live, with requests prioritised via the Blued app (Fri 1st & 15th Sept)
- Craig Law’s Friday show (Friday 28th September) streamed via the Blued app
Toby Whitehouse, Gaydio’s Station Director said: “Our listeners have been keen to see inside the studio, as well as hear it, for a while now. The Blued live-stream is a great way of connecting with the audience in a new way. Whether or not people are ready to see what Chris & Emma look like at 7 in the morning is another matter – we’ve called a stylist.”
