This autumn Sainsbury’s is expanding its men’s range with two new lines which will include, a new tailored Tu formal collection and Tu Premium. This range capitalises on the public’s demand for quality formalwear.
With a more tailored look, September will see the launch of Tu Formal which is the response from the public success of the Harris Tweed collection, which was released previously.
With three-piece suits and beautifully detailed double-breasted jackets, Tu Formal features on-trend tailoring as well as patterned shirts and tweed blazers which come in a range of different colours, such as classic greys, opulent burgundies and 70’s patterned blues.
TU has invested a lot into this line in terms of quality, technical fabrics and contemporary fits with silhouettes that are clean-cut yet relaxed. This also includes slim fit jackets which are softened with modern, supple shoulders with trousers that are cut in stretch fabrics to insure comfort. While giving off a luxurious look, this range also keeps you warm in the winter.
From the success of the Harris Tweed capsule last season, Tu Formal will also feature four British wool jackets and two British Wool suits, this will be the first time ever a British supermarket has stocked suiting fabrics.
On October 17, Tu’s first premium collection will launch making it the first time a premium men’s collection will be retailed by a supermarket clothing brand.
This collection is very contemporary and has timeless pieces that can be worn season after season and it focuses more on the neutral tones of black, grey, camel and navy and places an emphasis on amplified quality in fabrication.
Knitwear includes premium, wool blend fabrics, coats and jackets to ensure warmth in soft wool blends, which again makes it perfect for the winter season. The denim is also upgraded with 4-way stretch for increased comfort whilst retaining a strong silhouette.
