It turns out that it was all a terrible misunderstanding, and that there's actually a perfectly reasonable explanation as to why Paris was seen pulling the pictured pose. Her spokesperson explained:
"Paris was dancing and having fun with her arm up in the air as she always dances like that, and was scratching her face when a photo was taken."
Clearly that is exactly what was going on, but if the cynical amongst you have even a fragment of doubt in your mind, her publicist went on to explain that Paris has "many" Jewish friends.
All's well that ends well.
