Gay writer Justin Torres has been the toast of the literary scene since the release of his first book We The Animals, and you can catch him reading from it at London’s Gay’s The Word bookshop this Thursday night. His debut is a coming-of-age novel, which centres on the youngest son of a mixed-race working class family from upstate New York as he discovers his ethnic and sexual identity. It’s a blistering read and Justin’s a total sweetie, so pop along to hear some great work and meet the man behind it. All for just £2, with complimentary refreshments.
