Last night, we went to the closing of the London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival. They were showing a Belgian film called North Sea Texas. It is by Bavo Defurne, who has done a lot of great shorts, but this is his first feature film.
Without getting too IMDB on you, it's a coming of age story, and it's really beautifully done.
We've put the trailer below, so you can see, but we'd really encourage you, if you live anywhere near one of the cinemas that is showing it, to go and see it. Unfortunately, it's not being shown in many places. But if you're reading this in Hereford or Hull, you are in fact in so much luck!
North Sea Texas is being shown from April 6th in Odeon Panton Street, Apollo Piccadilly Circus and Cineworld in Ashton-Under-Lyme.
From May 11th in Reel Cinema in Hull, and from May 19th in The Courtyard in Hereford.
So there you have it. Great film. Nothing out there like it. London. Ashton-Under-Lyme, Hull, Hereford.
