Adele promises new material “before the end of the year” in an interview with French radio station NRJ.
However she also revealed that we’ll have quite a wait before a new album hits the shelves, stating that the gap will be longer than between 19 and 21 (2 years… obviously).
The announcement of a lone 2012 single has reignited the rumour that the 23-year-old redhead will be singing a Bond theme. There was talk of Adele lending her voice to the spy franchise in 2008 for Quantum of Solace, but since 2011 was such a huge year for Adele, Skyfall seems much more likely.
If she actually gets the gig, she’ll be joining the illustrious ranks of Duran Duran, Tom Jones, Madonna and Paul McCartney. We’re hoping for a delicious Shirley Bassey/Carly Simon-esque sound, what do you think?
