The Kaleidoscope Trust is the charity partner for Ha Ha Hackney, a gay extravaganza of comedy, featuring the UK's top LGBT comics. The show will highlight the issues that surround gay rights across the world – and celebrate the ground breaking comics who trail blazed the way for gay artists in the years when homosexuality was still illegal in the UK. The evening is hosted by Sandi Toksvig, who is amazing, by the way.
A show paying tribute to stars such as John Inman, Danny La Rue, Kenneth Williams, Kenny Everett and Larry Grayson plus the best of the best right up to the present day.
Artists include:
Simon Fanshawe (he writes for us, y'know)
London Gay Men’s Chorus
Stephen K Amos
Nora Bone
Adele Anderson
London Gay Big Band
John Partridge (EastEnders' Christian)
Susan Calman
Plus many, many, many more people.
The ticket price for the Gala is £70, which includes a top price ticket, interval drink, post show party with members of the cast, programme, goodie bag containing merchandising, a £10 voucher to use when buying tickets for any of the other Ha Ha Hackney events and a special half price Friends Scheme offer.
