Ain’t No Love offer an eclectic
mix of upbeat electronic pop, rap and hip-hop. In just over a year and a half, they’ve
shared the stage with the likes of Iggy Azelea, Rockie Fresh, Calvin Harris and
Redman. In the short time they have been formed they’ve gained quite the
reputation in their native Canada. Dynamic live performances have seen them
play all over Toronto, where they’re based, and in industry showcases at SXSW,
NXNE and Halifax Pop Explosion.
Their music is body moving and
has attitude. They’re a renegade pop foursome who embrace everything about universal
urban youth culture and are said to be following in the footsteps of The Black
Eyed Peas, Roll Deep and N-Dubz. Indeed, MC’s 1990 and Beanz, alongside soulful
vocalist Saidah Conrad and melodic producer Liam Clarke make for quite a
similar, niche set up.
Next week they’re heading to
England for The Great Escape following two gigs in London on May 14th.
Having recently unleashed their second EP: Tears of Joy, which includes their
MTV circulating hit ‘Gone Already’, they’re already preparing for a third due
for release on July 1st. We’re anticipating big things.
