Andy Murray reveals which male tennis player he would date if he were gay

The former World Number One got taste, we gotta say.

Andy Murray might be happily married to his wife of three years, Kim Sears, but that hasn't stopped the British tennis star from imagining what his life if things had turned out a little bit differently...

Two-time Wimbledon winner Andy, 31, was answering fan questions on his Instagram story on Thursday (9 August) when he was asked which of his fellow male tennis players he would want to date if he were gay.

Showing a refeshing degree of security in his sexuality for a leading sports star, Andy was quick to name the "beautiful" player on the ATP tour he'd want to call his boyfriend: Spanish world number 71 Feliciano Lopez.

"Probably @felilopezoficial", Murray wrote on Instagram. "He's beautiful and I could teach him about football".

In an interesting (or possibly just plain weird) twist, Andy's mum Judy Murray has also expressed a bit of a soft spot for Feliciano Lopez over the years, memorably nicknaming him 'Deliciano' during Wimbledon 2011.

Like mother like son, eh?

Andy Murray has publicly shown solidarity with the LGBT community in the past, expressing his support for same-sex marriage last year during a media furore about anti-gay remarks made by Australian tennis legend Margaret Court.

"I don't see why anyone has a problem with two people who love each other getting married," Murray told reporters at the time.

"If it's two men, two women, that's great. I don't see why it should matter. It's not anyone else's business.

"Everyone, in my opinion, should have the same rights."

One thing's for sure: the former ATP World Number One sure has great taste in guys, if Lopez's Instagram feed is anything to go by...
