Demi Lovato is surrounded by her family after she was rushed to hospital.
Police were called to the ‘Sorry Not Sorry’ singer’s Hollywood home after she fell ill just before midday on Tuesday but the reason for her being taken to hospital was not immediately clear but many publications claim she had overdosed on heroin.
Lovato, who has openly spoke about cocaine and alcohol in the past and in her latest song ‘Sober’ she says she had relapsed after six years of sobriety, however, in a statement, her family say some facts have been reported incorrectly.
They said: “Demi is awake and with her family who want to express thank to everyone for the love, prayers and support.
“Some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation as her health and recovery is the most important thing right now.”
Many celebrities including Lily Allen, Bruno Mars and Ariana Grande took to social media to with the former Disney star a full recovery.
Mars wrote: "Sending love and prayers to Demi Lovato."

Chat show host Ellen DeGeneres wrote on Twitter: "I love @DDLovato so much. It breaks my heart that she is going through this.
"She is a light in this world, and I am sending my love to her and her family."
Camila Cabello tweeted: "You're in my thoughts @ddlovato, sending you love."
