A sequel to Enchanted
is now in the works at Disney.
, a live-action musical film starring Amy Adams, was released in 2007 and became a big hit at the box office, taking over $370 million (£216 million) worldwide.
Adams, who played a Disney Princess who accidentally found herself stuck in real-life New York, was joined by an impressive supporting cast that included Idina Menzel, James Marsden, Susan Sarandon and Patrick Dempsey.
According to Deadline
, the sequel will be directed by Anne Fletcher (The Proposal 2
) with Shrek 2
writers J David Stem and David N Weiss set to pen the script.
At present, Disney are keeping tight-lipped on whether any of the original cast will return for the sequel. The release date for Enchanted 2
has also yet to be confirmed.
