Dr Ranj Singh to host the Attitude Pride Awards 2019

On the eve of Pride in London, July 5, at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park

By Steve Brown

As Pride season gets underway worldwide, Attitude magazine is delighted to confirm the return of the Attitude PRIDE Awards, for those in the LGBTQ community working selflessly in the third sector, serving others or with tales of triumph in adversity to tell.

The Attitude PRIDE Awards 2019 will take place on the evening of Friday 5th July (Pride in London weekend) and – we are excited to confirm – will be hosted by ITV’s This Morning‘s resident health advisor (and Attitude columnist) Dr Ranj Singh.

The venue will be the magnificent, newly-restored Ballroom at the beautiful Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park hotel and will see more than 200 guests gather, resplendent in black tie or high glamour, to acknowledge ten remarkable people with real stories that cry out to be told.

Attitude is proud to be the conduit through which this range of extraordinary individuals can be heard.

Nominations for the Attitude PRIDE Awards opened last week and close at 10am on April 12, see details here if there’s someone special you have in mind.

On being announced as host of the Attitude PRIDE Awards Dr Ranj said: “The Attitude Pride Awards were created to recognise everyday individuals who make a real difference to the lives of LGBT+ people, or who have gone through exceptional challenges to be who they are.

“These people often don’t get the recognition they deserve, but that doesn’t make their stories any less important.

“In fact, many of them have done incredible things far beyond what many would ever hope to achieve.

“I’m honoured to be standing alongside them, and I’m humbled to be hosting this wonderful event. It makes me utterly proud to be part of the community.”

Darren Styles OBE, Managing Director and Publisher of Attitude, said: “Alan Cumming, Gok Wan and Judge Rob Rinder respectively have hosted the Attitude PRIDE Awards for us previously, and the lovely Dr Ranj Singh will carry the torch magnificently.

“Ranj’s natural empathy, heart and warmth make him the perfect personality to steer this very special ship into safe harbour, and both the lucky winners and the celebrity presenters will enjoy his gentle touch. So long as the good Doctor has warmed his hands, obviously.”

A special edition of Attitude magazine, including exclusive interviews with the ten winners of the Attitude PRIDE Awards will be published on July 18.

A limited number of tables of ten for the Attitude PRIDE Awards remain available for sale at £3,500 plus VAT.

These include a welcome reception, a three-course dinner including wine, the awards presentations and post-dinner after-party. For details please contact craig.lewis@streampublishing.net
