Drag Race UK judge Alan Carr issues crucial update on season two

Star says lockdown leaves 'no excuse' for bad sewing.

2020-10-21

RuPaul's Drag Race UK star Alan Carr has said the much-loved show resumes filming in the next two weeks.

Which is a relief!

Production on the hit BBC one programme was of course shut down earlier this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

"We saw all of these miserable drag queens walking out of the studio!"

Speaking on ITV's Lorraine on Tuesday (20 October), Alan said: "That was so surreal. We were up there filming it, and obviously Boris Johnson says right, that's it. So we had to just tell everyone, that was it.

"RuPaul and Michelle Visage, the next day they were back to LA. We saw all of these miserable drag queens walking out of the studio!"

What a sight that must have been.

The 44-year-old added: "I'm filming that [the rest of the series] in a fortnight's time, and that'll be nice just to get that finished.

"It's also be good for some the drag queens who maybe their sewing wasn't that good. In the lockdown, if they've got any sense, they'll be on the sewing machine with the peddle down. No excuse, love."

Alan is judge on the RPDR spin-off show, which debuted last year, alongside RuPaul, Michelle Visage and Graham Norton.

The star's Sky show There's Something About Movies returns tonight at 9pm.
