Elliot Page shares first Instagram post since coming out as trans

"From the bottom of my heart, thank you."

Elliot Page has shared his first post on Instagram since coming out as trans earlier this month.

The Juno star made the announcement on 2 December 2020, saying in a lengthy statement: "I am trans, my pronouns are he/they and my name is Elliot [...] I feel lucky to be writing this."

The star - whose other film roles include Inception and Hard Candy - went on to update fans yesterday.

"From the bottom of my heart, thank you," he wrote, alongside a picture of himself in a black hoodie. "Your love and support has been the greatest gift.

Elliot, also known for his work on The Umbrella Academy and Tales of the City, was congratulated by everyone from Miley Cyrus to Ellen DeGeneres to his wife Emma Portner when he came out.
