Exclusive: Erasure's 'Nerves of Steel' gets Bright Light, Bright Light remix

Who owns the dancefloor (until 10pm at least)?

Following an emotional rendition of George Michael's 'Spinning the Wheel' for Attitude Pride at Home this summer, Bright Light, Bright Light is lending his talents to the work of more '80s icon with a brand new remix for Erasure.

The New York-based singer, who appears in the Attitude October issue - out now to download and to order globally - has put his own spin on 'Nerves of Steel', from Andy Bell and Vince Clarke's new remix EP of the same name, out this Friday (25 September).

The collaboration comes after '80s chart-topper Bell featured on Bright Light, Bright Light's recently-released fourth studio album, Fun City.

The original video for the single version of Erasure's 'Nerves of Steel' saw more than 20 LGBTQ stars - including Drag Race All Stars Manila Luzon and Detox - serve up a technicolour lipsync of sass, and Bright Light, Bright Light's new remix only ups the club ante (and with most of them now closing at 10pm, lawd knows we need it).

Pop icons Erasure have been enjoying something of a resurgence in 2020, with their 18th studio album The Neon sailing into UK Top Five to become their highest-charting record since 1994.

Meanwhile, in his new Attitude profile, Bright Light, Bright Light reflects on his own, sometimes difficult experiences on the LGBTQ music scene - click here to read more.
