Fire Island's Joel Kim Booster says "it was a lot more fun" being "the guest star" in threesomes than being a part of a couple.

The comedian, 34, behind the gay version of Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice has been speaking to Page Six about the logistics of a ménage à trois.

He also addresses it in his latest Netflix special, Joel Kim Booster: Psychosexual.

In an interview with Page Six, the actor-writer-comedian says threesomes aren't out of the question for him now, being in a relationship, but they are trickier to organise.

"It was a lot more fun being the guest star than it was logistically planning it as a couple," he says.

"So yeah, I think it’s a logistical nightmare now to engage in a threesome, but before it was just sort of, you come in and you get the spotlight and then you leave."

Comparing it to being a guest star on a sit-com Joel also says, "You want to be a series regular, but you realize there’s a lot more responsibility in that.

"You know, the call times are earlier, longer."

In a recent interview with NPR Booster revealed what he was able to get away with when it came to Fire Island's sex scenes.

"It feels like I pulled off the biggest scam in the world that I've gotten Disney to produce two gay orgies now on film. We were told we could have as many butts as we wanted but no pole, that was the only real pushback that we received."
