Since Duncan James was announced as Hollyoaks' latest big name casting back in May, we've been counting down the days until we catch a glimpse of the Blue singer in Chester's most dramatic - not to mention murderous - village.
Thankfully, the wait is now over with the release of Hollyoaks' brand new summer trailer, which offers viewers their first look at Dunc as newcomer Ryan Knight.
The 38-year-old former Attitude cover star landed the role as the Channel 4 soap's new hunky police officer following his recent stage performances in Chicago, Legally Blonde and, of course, as Tick in Priscilla Queen of the Desert – (if you’ve not seen Mr James in full drag, check out out here immediately).
Duncan's character Ryan is the new boyfriend of Hollyoaks returnee Amy Barnes (Ashley Slanina-Davies), descirbed by producers as "a grounded family man with principles and integrity but who will fight tooth and nail for what he believes in."
Meanwhile, amongst all the drama of the new summer trailer, John Paul McQueen (James Sutton) is seen cheating on Scott (Ross Adams) once again with lawyer James (Gregory Finnegan).
Speaking about his casting back in May, Duncan said: "I am absolutely thrilled to be joining the Hollyoaks team! I’m looking forward to working with the fantastic on and off screen talent on the show and bringing the character of Ryan to life."
