George Shelley's debut solo single 'Technicolour' is a huge Pride anthem - LISTEN

The former Union J star is set to perform the track live at Pride in London on Saturday (July 7).

Two years after leaving Union J, George Shelley has unveiled his debut solo single - and it's a huge Pride anthem.

George, who came out publicly in 2016 after shooting to fame on The X Factor three years earlier, unveiled the track on Friday ahead of his scheduled performance at Pride in London tomorrow (July 7).

The 24-year-old's planned set in a packed Trafalgar Square will be the first opportunity fans get to hear the bouncy pop tune live, and George says he hopes it can help inspire people to love themselves - and each other.

"Kicking off summer with ‘Technicolour’ feels like a fresh start for me", he says.

"The song has me rebelling at the top of my lungs against everything I was afraid of in the past, and marks a new era for my music, music that has undeniably helped me through a challenging journey.

"I just want everyone to really feel the love and joy in the song, and find the happiness and pride in the lyrics."
