His delicious bakes might be able to fend off hunger, but Great British Bake Off
contestant Tamal Ray has been leaving viewers thirsty all series, and now the 28-year-old trainee anesthetist has revealed that he's not only gay, he's single too.
The fan favourite, who viewers will see compete in the semi-final of the baking contest tomorrow night (September 30), has been bombarded with innuendo-laden tweets all series, but has broken female hearts everywhere after revealing that he is gay.
Asked by the Radio Times
whether he was available, Tamal replied: "I wouldn't have a girlfriend, I would have a boyfriend," adding "But I am single at the moment."
The Manchester-based medic added that his relationship status wasn't down to lack of interest, adding: "Yes, I have had a few offers on Twitter!"
Tamal is one of the favourites to win the coveted crown as The Great British Bake Off
approaches next week's grand final - and he certainly isn't short on fans. What's more, his latest announcement has only served to re-invigorate his extensive online fanbase.
