Janet Jackson appears to have bumped herself to the top of the Glastonbury line-up

The legend jumped out.

The life of a legendary diva is hard, ok? You spend 30 years building up a glittering career and historic body of work, only to be publicly slighted by those who don't appreciate your greatness.

Janet Jackson was having none of it, it seems, when her name was placed in the top-left corner of the line-up poster for Glastonbury 2019 last week, behind the likes of Stormzy, Kylie Minogue, The Cure and The Killers.

'Behind The Killers?!' we hear you cry. The disrespect!

Thankfully, Jackson righted this wrong the way only a true icon can: by simply moving her own name to the head of the line-up, where it belongs.

As the 'All For You' singer celebrated her return to the UK to play the legendary festival in June on Twitter on Monday (March 18), fans couldn't help but notice that the line-up poster she'd shared wasn't the one they'd seen just days previously.

"Can’t wait to see you UK" Jackson wrote alongside the image, before - we imagine - setting down her phone, taking a long sip of red wine, and looking out over the sprawling city lights of LA with a wry smile.

The 52-year-old's eagerly-anticipated return to the UK comes three years after she was forced to cancel the UK and European leg of her 'Unbreakable World Tour' to have her first child, and expectations will be high following her showstopping performance at the Billboard Music Awards last year.

Jackson, who is also set to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year, ranks alongside Barbra Streisand and Bruce Springstein as just one of three artists to have scored a US Number One album in each of the last four decades.

Her seven chart-topping albums put her third on the all-time list for a female solo artist, behind Barbra (who has ten) and Madonna (with 8). If that's not worthy of a top-place blling at Worthy Farm, we don't know what is...
