Jessica Lange was one of the major stars of American Horror Story
, she was in Murder House
and Freak Show
before deciding to leave the show.
After AHS's fifth season, Hotel
, fans are eagerly awaiting to hear what the sixth season's theme will be and, more importantly, who will be retuning.
Jessica Lange however, has announced however that she will not be returning to Ryan Murphy's horror anthology series.
In an interview with Charlie Rose, Lange confirmed that Freak Show was her last role on AHS and has decided to move on to other things.
She said, "No, I had four years with that, four seasons, and each year was a marvellous character. Everything changed from one year to another which made it very interesting to me. But no, I think sometimes you come to the end of something."
Charlie Rose, as an AHS fanboy, cut in and said, "But, I mean, people loved you in that."
"I know, I know, it's funny," Lange replied.
While this news may be heartbreaking to some, there's some good news on the horizon.
Lange is set to collaborate with Murphy for their new anthology series, Feud.
Murphy's new series is set to follow the infamous rivalry between Bette Davis and Joan Crawford on the set of 1962's 'What Ever Happened To Baby Jane?' with Lange and Susan Sarandon playing the leads.
