Kesha has officially kicked off her new era with brand new single 'Raising Hell', and is making quite the statement with the track's dark accompanying video, which addresses domestic violence.

The 'Tik Tok' singer, 32, unveiled the first cut from her upcoming studio album High Road on Thursday (24 October) with a slick '80s-styled video which sees her chase freedom after suffering abuse at the hands of her partner.

Marrying the spiritual themes of 2017's Rainbow with the party-loving lyricism of her early output, 'Raising Hell' sees Kesha declare over an ear-worming brass hook: "Mama raised em well, but I don't wanna go to heaven without raising hell."

The singer took to Twitter earlier this week to tease what's in store for fans on High Road, which is set for release on 10 January 2020.

"I feel like this time around I reconnected to the unrestrained joy and wildness that’s always been a part of me, and in this process I have had the most fun I’ve ever had making a record," Kesha wrote.

One thing's for sure; it's good to have her back.
