Kylie Minogue has revealed that she is to quit The Voice
at the end of the current series.
The Into the Blue
star joined the BBC talent contest for this year's series, replacing Jessie J on the panel. The show has seen a resurgence in ratings since the change, regularly hitting seven million viewers.
Speaking to The Mirror
about the possibility of returning for next year's series, Kylie said: "I'm touring later this year and the timings wouldn't work.
"We started filming in November last year and I'm on tour in September, October and November this year. I have loved doing the show although there have been parts that have been really emotional."
Thankfully, all hope is not lost. Kylie went on to say that she would consider coming back if the BBC altered their schedule for her, saying: "I would have to think about it."
Meanwhile, the BBC have admitted that they are aware of the scheduling issue. A spokesperson for the broadcaster said: "We are aware of Kylie's commitments and are looking to accommodate them."
Last night (March 21), Kylie and Jason Donovan performed Especially For You
together for the first time on TV in 25 years, during the BBC's Sport Relief broadcast.
Kyle released her new album Kiss Me Once
this week, and we revealed on Wednesday
that she was set to miss the top spot on the UK album chart. Check back with us tomorrow (March 23) to find out where she places.
