Kylie Minogue is back to inject some much-need positivity into 2020 with new single 'Say Something'.
The Aussie pop princess dropped the first single from her upcoming 15th studio album Disco on Thursday (23 July), and it's a silkily uplifting mid-tempo number that sees Kylie return to her electro-pop roots after experimenting with a foray into country on 2018's Golden.
"It's like this gigantic sone and yet it's very heartfelt at the same time", said Minogue as she premiered the song on The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2 on Thursday morning.
The singer also confirmed that the video for 'Say Something' is just "a week or two away" and, deliciously, will have a "galactic disco" vibe.
'Say Something' is the first taste of Kylie's upcoming Disco album, which is set for release on 6 November.
Minogue also revealed on Thursday that fans can expect at least one more single before the album drops in full, so expect plenty more Kylie to come this summer.
"Even grown-ups need some pure pop fun," Minogue told GQ of Disco's sonic character back in May.
"I loved disco as an eight-year-old, so it’s been a long love affair," she continued. "I’m loving the modern interpretations of the genre now."
