lady gaga tony bennettLady Gaga and Tony Bennett's collaborative album is to be released on September 22. Titled Cheek to Cheek, the album will feature big band-backed duets and solo performances from the Do What U Want singer and Bennett, who have covered classic selections from the Great American Songbook including It Don't Mean A Thing (If It Ain’t Got That Swing), Sophisticated Lady and Lush Life. Describing the collection as an album of jazz classics "with a modern twist", Gaga said in a press release: “Cheek to Cheek came out of a very organic friendship and relationship that Tony and I have built over the years and it truly was a collaborative effort. It was important to Tony that this was a jazz record. I’ve been singing jazz since I was a child and really wanted to show the authentic side of the genre." Bennett added: “Creating this album with Lady Gaga has been a beautiful experience as she is a fantastic singer and I am hoping that all her fans will embrace this music and swing along with it.” The first single, a cover of Cole Porter's classic Anything Goes, is now available on iTunes around the world.
