Little Mix's Jade Thirlwall mocks Zayn Malik's X Factor audition dance moves - WATCH

2016-10-18
If there was any doubt left in anyone's mind about just who Little Mix's barn-storming new single 'Shout Out to My Ex' is directed at, the girls have appeared to clear it up once and for all. The new song's lyrics - complete with references to a four-year relationship, tattoos, new girlfriends and, erm, faked orgasms - had already made it fairly clear that Perrie Edwards' ex-fiancé Zayn Malik was firmly in the girls' cross-hairs, but they removed all doubt yesterday after posting a Snapchat story of band member Jade Thirwall mocking the former One Direction star's X Factor audition dance moves. Malik, who ended his two-year engagement to Edwards via text message last year, had already seen his notorious bootcamp appearance from the 2010 series of the ITV singing competition (you know the one, where he refused to dance and walked off before being persuaded to come back again) do the rounds again after Little Mix fans set his awkward routine to the group's new song - and it didn't take long for Jade to get in on the action herself. In a video added to the group's Snapchat story, Jesy Nelson can be heard shouting: "Jade, do your audition!" before her bandmate launches into a brilliant reenactment of Zayn's not-so-hot footwork as 'Shout Out to My Ex' plays in the background. The best part? The almighty cackle let out by Perrie mid-way through. Thankfully, fans have put the video side-by side with the original, for our viewing pleasure:   Little Mix debuted 'Shout Out to my Ex' on The X Factor's Sunday results show, where their performance included a touching nod to same-sex relationships. The shady new single has already ascended to the top of the UK iTunes chart, but has also seemingly incurred the wrath of US girl group GRL, who made of point of highlighting the song's apparent similarity to their 2014 single 'Ugly Heart'. 'Shout Out to my Ex' is the first track to be lifted from the band's upcoming fourth studio album Glory Days, which is set for release on November 18.
