Madonna is to sing on The X Factor
for the first time, according to a new report.
The Queen of Pop has reportedly been persuaded by Simon Cowell to perform at the live final of the ITV singing contest at Wembley Stadium on December 14 – but only if she "approves of the line-up".
A so-called "source" apparently told the Daily Mail
: "Madonna will have been provisionally booked because the final can be subject to change if an artist doesn't approve of the finalists – especially if they have agreed to sing with them."
The "source" went on to add that Madonna will be expected to pay for any staging required for her performance.
"Someone like Madonna will want a lot of creative control over her appearance, but for Simon the ratings will worth it. She has been told that her label will be expected to pay for any stage props and backing dancers she brings with her," the "source" added.
Meanwhile, Madonna’s manager, Guy Oseary, has recently revealed that her eagerly-anticipated new album won’t be due until 2015 – find out more here
