Married man and woman file for annulment after both coming out as gay

A married man and woman have filed for an annulment after they both come out as gay.

Scott Turner-Smith and Jo Turner married 13 months ago but have now signed a nullity petition after they both realised they are gay.

Back in August, Scott took to Twitter to confirm his sexuality and said: “I’ve composed and deleted this tweet a thousand times, but here goes: I’m gay.

“Those I’ve told so far have been wonderful, and for that I’m more grateful than they know. It feels freeing to be able to be my whole self, and I’m excited to find out what’s next.”

His spouse then confirmed a couple of days later that they had ‘a hoot’ signing nullity petition and also confirmed her sexuality.

She wrote: “We have had a hoot signing the nullity petition today - ‘invalid consent by mistake - turns out we are both gay’.

“Enjoy that, Judge. The screenplay will be out next year.”

Luckily, the former couple have stayed friends and even go out together with Jo’s new girlfriend and the three have joked about a double wedding.
