Marvel Studios president confirms they won’t be changing the Deadpool franchise to fit with the child-friendly Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Fans of the MCU were delighted when Disney – who owns the rights to LucasFilm and the MCU – officially bought the rights to Fox's entertainment assets meaning the giant conglomerate now owns the rights to X-Men, Fantastic Four and Deadpool.

However, how the hit R-rated, Ryan Reynolds-starring franchise would fit the child-friendly Disney Incorporation had led many to believe the films would have to be changed, despite Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige confirming more Deadpool movies are on the way.

And now, while speaking to Variety, Feige confirmed that they will not be changing the formula of the Deadpool movies.

He said: “When we purchased, Bob (Iger) said to us, ‘If it’s not broke, don’t fix it’.

“There’s no question that Deadpool is working, so why would we change it?”

Hopefully we will finally get to see Deadpool aka Wade Wilson embrace his pansexuality in the upcoming movies.
