2015-03-09
Almost half of all LGBT students are planning on voting Green at the General Election, according to a new poll. The poll of over 1000 students - carried out at this year's National Student Pride - hoped to discover where LGBT students are planning on placing their support after recent research suggested that students could be vital in swinging key constituencies during the next election. Green Party The #VotePride poll found that a massive 42% of LGBT students intend on voting Green, with support for Labour close behind at 39%. Lower down the scale, 10% plan on voting Conservative, while 8% plan on voting Liberal Democrats and just 1% for controversial right-wing party UKIP.
