obama-bestThe Normal Heart director Ryan Murphy has revealed that President Barack Obama called him on Monday (June 9) to praise his work on the HBO television movie. He told Deadline that Obama called to tell him that he found the movie incredibly moving, as well as asking Murphy how the film came together. Murphy - who hosted a fundraiser for the President back in 2012 - said that Obama's comments are a "full-circle moment". "The whole movie is about Larry trying to get the attention of Washington and 30 years later, to get a call from the President is a full-circle moment," the Glee and American Horror Story creator said. The Normal Heart - which starred Mark Ruffalo, Matt Bomer and Julia Roberts - was met with an overwhelmingly positive response, following its premiere last month. Meanwhile, star Jim Parsons recently described the film as a "force for good". > ‘The Normal Heart’: Why it’s a must-see film for gay men > Bomer: ‘McConaughey called me about ‘The Normal Heart’
