After last week's flurry of star-studdded pictures
from the set of Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie
, we didn't think we could be more excited for Patsy and Edina's first big screen outing next year.
Turns out we were wrong.
Legendary Cher impersonator and drag queen Charlie Hides revealed on Facebook (November 16) that he's been filming scenes at iconic London gay pub The Royal Vauxhall Tavern today (November 16), following last month's news that producers had put out a casting call
for 96 drag queens and "camp, fantastic queers" to star in upcoming movie.
Sharing a picture of himself with Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley on Facebook, Hides described the day as a "dream come true".
"Absolutely Fabulous day filming @thervt [at The Royal Vaxhall Tavern] Jennifer and Joanna were lovely....oh, and I have a line and a close up."
Royal Vaxuhall Tavern confirmed the news on Facebook soon after, writing: "YES, the rumours are true, they've been filming some of the new Ab Fab movie here today."
And by the looks of other pictures taken by passers-by in London today, we're in for quite the treat come next year...
