Queer dating app TAIMI has come out swiping against the stigma that still exists around coming out – and we’re here for it.
The world’s first LGBTQI+ social networking platform provides a safe, inclusive space for everyone, regardless of their sexuality or gender identity.
Users have come a long in accepting and embracing themselves – and TAIMI’s new advertising campaign is an unbridled celebration of that.
Adopting the slogan “TAIMI – Coming-Out-Free Community,” the series of videos imagines what would happen if a person had an object for every time they’d been outed, or had to come out to somebody.
One woman finds herself in a sticky situation with a giant ball of chewing gum, while a drag queen has to clear up a whole lot of confetti.
In case you were wondering, Attitude’s object would be a pair of rubber eyeballs… for the amount of times we’ve had to eyeroll our way through the situation.
Featuring members of the community from all walks of life, the videos were produced by the aptly-named creative agency, They, and have garnered five million-plus views online.
“TAIMI is a community. It is a Coming Out Free community, not yet another dating app where people can find a hook-up for a one-night stand,” explains Alex Pasykov, TAIMI’s creator and founder.
“We provide a world free of judgement and harassment, a safe and secure environment to communicate, connect, share information, discuss issues, meet new people and be actively involved in the LGBTQI+ community. We are open to everyone,” he adds.
Here’s hoping that the stigma disappears faster than those dudes who ghosted us all the other dating apps.
