Sharon Stone receives Ally Award at Attitude Awards 2014  

sharon-stone-wallpaperSharon Stone has been named the winner of Attitude’s Ally Award 2014. The Basic Instinct actress and gay rights supporter received the award for her HIV/AIDS activism and work with amfAR – the Foundation for AIDS Research. The 56-year-old has worked with the foundation since 1995 advocating efficient AIDS-related public policy, and last year accepted a Nobel Peace Summit Award from the Dalai Lama for her efforts. Stone was recently cast in the pilot for Agent X, a TV drama in which she will star as Natalie Maccabee, America's first female Vice President who takes the office after the death of her Senator husband. Stone accepted her award via a video message shown at tonight’s ceremony at Banqueting House in Whitehall, London, which is being hosted by Scissor Sisters star Ana Matronic.
