Nick Kamen, the singer, model, and former protégé of Madonna, has died at the age of 59.
The star, who shot to fame in an 80s Levi's launderette advert, passed away yesterday (5 May 2021), according to the BBC.
As per multiple reports, the star had faced a long battle with bone marrow cancer.
Kamen - whose real name was Ivor Neville Kamen - scored a top-five single on the UK singles chart in 1986 with 'Each Time You Break My Heart'.
The song was co-written by Madonna, who had launched her career only a few years before with 1982's 'Everybody'. She also provided backing vocals for the song, which was originally intended for her iconic album True Blue.
Kamen is also known for the songs 'Loving You Is Sweeter Than Ever' and 'I Promised Myself.'
"The most beautiful and sweetest man"
While Madonna is yet to address Kamen's death publicly, Culture Club star Boy George shared a tribute on Instagram earlier today.
Alongside a pic of himself and Kamen, the Boy said in a caption: "R.I.P to the most beautiful and sweetest man Nick Kamen!"

According to the booklet for the release, Madonna once said of Kamen: "I kept seeing this incredible-looking guy in magazines."
Upon checking out his Levi's ad and demo tape, she reportedly added: "Wow, this guy’s got everything.”
Attitude has approached a representative for Madonna for her response to the news.
