Tia Kofi has said she's backing Symone to win the US version of Drag Race tomorrow.

Speaking backstage at National Student Pride in London, Tia - who finished in 7th place on RPDR UK SE2 and has new music coming on 30 April - told us: "All the finalists are amazing, but I'm going Symone."

Symone will go head-to-head with Gottmik, Kandy Muse, and Rosé for the finale, which airs on Saturday (24 April 2021) on Netflix in the UK.

"If Rosé wins, that's a double win for Scotland"

Tia - who will be appearing on Student Pride's Cheers, Queers quiz with Lorraine Kelly and RPDR UK SE2 winner Lawrence Chaney this Saturday (sign up to watch here) - said: "I'm such a congenial queen, so obviously I'm supporting everyone, but...

"If Rosé wins, that's a double win for Scotland. Obviously, I'm very much known for my gorgeous high couture fashion, so I really love Symone and Gottmik. But I have a deep, personal connection with Kandy, who's just managed to keep getting through!"

Speaking about the wider sisterhood, 'Outside In' singer Tia said she's been in touch with Canada's Drag Race Priyanka ("we occasionally Whatsapp, as you do with the crowned queen of Canada") and Bianca Del Rio ("the first drag queen I saw perform live").

Tia also teased two upcoming shows, including The Drag Queens of Pop in the West end with The Vivienne and Veronica Green ("entirely socially distanced with rules and regulations in place") and adult pantomime Rapunzel in Barrow-in-Furnes with "Ellie Diamond, Tamisha Iman, and a fourth person who won't be announced until the next All Stars cast is announced... There's a scoop for you I'm going to get told off about!"

On Cheers, Queers, Tia said: "Expect a fun, uplifting camp old time with lots of silliness, and Lorraine being a legend! My team will win, no matter what, because I'm not being beaten by Lawrence Chaney twice in one year!"
