The popular Twitch streamer, Ranboo, has come out and said that they are “okay with the gay label”.

Ranboo, who rose to fame streaming games such as Minecraft on Twitch and boasts 3.89 million YouTube subscribers, came out during a live stream during a Q&A on Twitter on Sunday (24 April).

The streamer, who keeps their face covered on social media and remains largely anonymous, confirmed that while their sexuality is “technically unlabeled”, they are also “okay with the gay label.”

Asked what their favorite moment in Netflix’s Heartstopper, Ranboo replied from another Twitter account with a clip showing the main character, Nick Nelson, taking an online quiz to determine if he’s gay.

“Thanks for all the support”

Posting from their @ranaltboo account they said: “Yo just wanted to say thanks for all the support with everything and tonight lol have been wanting to do that for a while tonight just lined up well.

“And for those confused basically I guess I am technically unlabeled as the way I have kinda always gone around life just being attracted to whoever I am attracted to it just so happens that most of them line up with a ‘certain type’ you could say lol am okay with the gay label.”

They later thanked everyone for their support adding: “Gonna make so much cool stuff this year and it means a lot to have you guys be here while I’m doing it.”

Ranboo, who also posts from the account @ranboosaysstuff, was met with a wave of support from his followers. One person said: “It is a good day and all shall smile upon you and say ‘let’s go!’ Proud of you bud”

Another added: “I’m so proud of you! ❤️I know how hard it is to be that open and vulnerable online, killing it as usual”
