Vandals spray paint homophobic slur on the entrance to a gay bar in Glasgow.

On Tuesday (February 11), police were called to the vandalism on the entrance of the Polo Lounge in the Scottish city.

The graffiti – which reads ‘poofs out’ – caused anger on social media after it was shared by a user on the social media site.

Now, police have launched an investigation following the homophobic graffiti emerged and according to the BBC, inquiries are still ongoing.

The venue – which is described as being LGBTQ inclusive – is regarded as the largest of its kind in Scotland and staff tweeted hours after the graffiti appeared saying: “#LGBTQ #Pololovesyou x”
