Watch: Christian lady loses her sh*t over equal marriage
While the civilised world is busy celebrating the historic introduction of marriage equality throughout the US, it's important to take a minute to spare a thought for the homophobes and religious zealots among us, for whom these are difficult times indeed.
No more so it seems than for Becky Wegner Rommel from Illinois, who has posted a furiously tear-filled diatribe about equal marriage.
"This is a really sad day for me," Becky begins, deceptively calmly. "Everything that God created his church to be, as man as woman, Adam and Eve... Five justices decided that GodwasWRONG!"
Gathering pace, the Shirley Carter doppelgänger continues: "I hear a lot of people say 'Christians, you're not into the times. You're not into times. It's 2015.' God did NOT CHANGE! His word is truth.
"Your word isn’t truth, my word isn’t truth. GOD’s word is truth and he says that marriage is between a man and a woman!”
She adds: "I don't caaaaaaarrreeee, if you think I'm judging you! The fact is, the god of the universe: he is the truth."
After launching into an attack on "Islaaaaaamic" extremists, Becky tearfully continues:
"I am sick of people being lukewarm. Are you serious?! All these people saying they're Christians on the Facebook, going 'Yaaaaaaaay, I'm so proud of those justices' - ARE YOU A CHRISTIAN?!"
Um, probably not in the same way, Beck.
Remember Zea from Ohio, the 7-year-old girl who was filmed sliently standing up to a homophic street preacher last week? Well here's hoping she does house calls.
