Watch: Little girl stands up to homophobic preacher

A little girl from Ohio has proved that you don't need to be the loudest or the strongest to stand up to hate. A video of 7-year-old Zea, a first-grader from Columbus, has gone viral online after her father filmed her silently and unwaveringly holding a rainbow flag up to a homophobic preacher during a celebration of the US Supreme Court's historic equal marriage ruling last Friday (June 26). little girl 2

Zea's father Ryan Bowling captured the incident on camera at the ComFest arts festival, and later wrote on Facebook: "Zea didn't just flash the flag at that hatemonger, and bail. They went toe to toe, for several minutes, while he bellowed all of his fire and brimstone right in her face. "Grown man vs first grader. She told me afterward that she did feel scared. The one thing the people of ‪#‎comfest2015‬ never let her feel though? Alone."
