Watch: Manchester Pride police officer thrills crowd with dance moves

A police inspector who entertained the crowds at Manchester Pride over the weekend with her impromptu dance moves has become an internet sensation after footage of her fancy footwork made its way online. Greater Manchester Police inspector Jacqui Prest, who is herself gay, gave the performance - to Kenny Loggins' infectious 80s classic Footloose - while crossing the road during Saturday’s celebrations, the Manchester Evening News reports. dancing-police-officer “The reaction to the video has been amazing, so overwhelming. I just can’t get over it. Just this morning I was on the phone to CBS News in New York, and I also met Leo Sayer while at the BBC – I’m sure i’ve danced to a few of his songs in the past," she told the newspaper. “Anyone that knows me wasn’t surprised by the footage though – I dance all the time, I just love it. I always pull some moves on a night out and even have a dance while doing the housework. “And as a gay woman I am happy to be involved with anything that helps promote the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transsexual community. The married mum-of-one, 44,  has been a police officer for 18 years and started serving with Greater Manchester Police eight years ago.
