Watch: NYPD officer dirty dances at Pride

New York City celebrated its annual Pride event yesterday (June 29), and naturally the city's world renowned police department was on hand to make sure things didn't get, well, out of hand. That doesn't mean they couldn't get into the spirit though: Video footage of one NYPD officer getting down and dirty to Micahel Jackson's Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough has gone viral since being  posted online yesterday, and we have to say we certainly admire his commitment to the cause. police The video was shot by Paige Ponzeka, a member of LGBT sports group Big Apple Softball League, and shows the as-yet unnamed officer dancer with her friend and fellow group member Aaron Seantis, who had apprently been on the admirable mission of trying to get a policeman to dance with him all day. “I didn’t expect him to get into it as much as he did,” Santis told BuzzFeed News. “The crowd just loved it and I think it made him want to dance more.” “It was such a fun moment. He was such a good sport and I’m so glad he decided to dance.”

“The cop was standing there all stoic,” Ponzeka added: “As soon as Aaron started dancing with him, grinding up against him, the cop tried to stay still but then he just got super into it.”

“The crowd loved it,” she said. “It was an awesome moment.” Who knows, maybe he's friends with the hot NYC cop who sent the internet into meltdown last month?
