By Nick Levine
Tom Daley and his boyfriend have finally landed back in the UK – over 30 hours after their flight back to Britain for the Commonwealth Games made an emergency landing in Russia.
The Attitude cover star and his boyfriend, Dustin Lance Black, were travelling from Shanghai to London yesterday (July 21) when the plane was forced to land in the Siberian city of Irkutsk at around 11.30am GMT, according to a tweet from Daley. Find out more about what Daley described as a “scary” incident here.
Earlier this evening (9pm GMT, July 22), Daley tweeted to let his fans know he was finally back on home soil, and safe and sound.

Tom Daley and Dustin Lance Black had been in Shanghai for the diving World Cup, where the 20-year-old narrowly missed out on adding to his Olympic bronze medal in the men’s 10m platform event.
He will compete in the same event in the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow next week, where he is considered one of the favourites to take home a gold medal.
Daley topped this year’s Attitude HOT 100 poll to find the world’s sexiest man 2014 and appears on the cover of the latest issue of Attitude, which is available to download now and pick up in shops from tomorrow (July 23). Check it out here.
