Attitude 101 empowered by Bentley returns to celebrate LGBTQ trailblazers
100 LGBTQ trailblazers and Attitude's Person of the Year will be honoured in the Attitude January issue and at a special event in London this Friday (3 December).

In a time when having visible role models is more important than ever, Attitude 101 empowered by Bentley is returning for a second year to celebrate the LGBTQ people who embody excellence.
Our second inaugural list shines a spotlight on 100 LGBTQ trailblazers across a range of fields and also includes our Person of the Year – someone whose contribution to the culture over the past year has had a profound impact on the lives of queer people.
Attitude 101 empowered by Bentley consists of 10 categories, each containing 10 individuals, and importantly forgoes any kind of ranking; instead fixing the spotlight on our community’s collective achievements.
Some will be known to you, many others are unsung heroes in industries where acknowledgment and accolades for LGBTQ people are long-overdue.
The categories are as follows: Politics; Travel; Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics; Sport; Third Sector & Community; The Future, supported by Clifford Chance; Media and Broadcast; Business, Financial & Legal; Film, TV, and Music, supported by Taimi; and Fashion, Art, and Design, supported by Klarna.
The full list is included in the Attitude 101 issue – out on Thursday 2 December – and will be published digitally this Friday 3 December to coincide with a special reception in London to honour those included.
Attitude Editor-in-Chief Cliff Joannou said in a statement: “The LGBTQ+ community is broad and diverse, we are in every culture, nationality, ethnicity, class, religion. One thing that unites us is the process of coming out, both to ourselves and others, sometimes with ease and at other times with great difficulty. Supportive families, understanding friends and encouraging workplaces help us to become the best possible version of ourselves.
“But it’s in our work and career where we often define our identity to the world outside our personal networks. With the Attitude 101, empowered by Bentley, we celebrate those whose intersectional identities have helped them excel in their careers as openly LGBTQ+ scientists, lawyers, actors, musicians, politicians, engineers, designers and beyond in our annual list of LGBTQ+ trailblazers.”
Writing in the Attitude 101 issue, Wayne Bruce, Director of Communications Bentley Motors, says: On behalf of Bentley Motors and our BeProud colleague network, thank you to the lovely team at Attitude magazine for letting us empower the reveal of the second list of LGBTQ+ trailblazers in the Attitude 101 issue.
“Our mission is simple. We want our business to reflect our global customer base and, most importantly of all, we want to ensure that we all work in an environment where everyone feels safe to bring their true self to work and valued for who they are and what they can do.
“This goes hand in hand with our ethos that only a rich and inclusive culture, where everyone is supported to achieve their full potential, regardless of their background, is what will help to steer our business forward for the next one hundred years.”
The Attitude 101 issue will be out to download and to order globally on Thursday 2 December and includes a FREE Attitude 2022 calendar, presented in association with Taimi.
