Fleabag actor Ben Aldridge has come out publicly as a “proud” member of the LGBTQ community.
The British screen star, 34, publicly acknowledged his sexuality for the first time in a post on Instagram over the weekend.
Aldridge, who appeared in the first season of Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s Fleabag as ‘Arsehole Guy’ and has starred in BBC military drama Our Girl as Captain Charles James from 2014-19, shared a series of historic Pride images and a video of himself kissing a man on the cheek.
“The journey to pride was a long one for me,” Aldridge wrote.
“I love the LGBTQ+ community and am incredibly proud and thankful to be a part of it. So much won. So much more to fight for.”
Aldridge currently stars in US Batman prequel series Pennyworth as Batman’s father, Thomas Wayne.
