Spoilers for episode four of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs The World follow.
The latest episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs The World has left fans well and truly shook and even “done” with the whole thing following yet another shocking elimination.
After being named the top drag queen of the week twice in the series, Drag Race Thailand host Pangina Heals sadly exited the competition after dropping into the bottom and being voted off by this week’s winner, Blu Hydrangea. It follows the sashaying away of another series frontrunner, Jimbo, last week.
In a twist, RuPaul announced that anyone who wasn’t in the top would be in the bottom meaning Pangina, who was considered a frontrunner for the crown, was up for elimination alongside Jujubee, Mo Heart, and Janey Jacké.
Blu was named the winner after lip-syncing to Alexandra Burke’s ‘Let It Go’ against Baga Chipz. Both had landed in the top for their hilarious performances as Austin Powers and Kathy Bates respectively in the Drag Race mainstay, Snatch Game.
Ru declared Blu the winner and asked her to reveal the lipstick of the queen she had chosen to leave.
In a possible tactical move given Pangina’s winning record on the series, Blu pulled her lipstick which left the queens, judges, and we imagine everyone at home truly gagged. Michelle and Ru were visibly shocked by the reveal, making it clear they thought Pangina would go further – if not all the way.
Apologising to Thailand and the fans for not making it to the finale, Pangina broke all of our hearts as she made her way to the back of the stage in floods of tears. Even after leaving the stage she could be heard sobbing uncontrollably, leaving many viewers uncomfortable.
One person described it as “dark” while another called out the producers for their “choice” to keep the clearly heartbroken Pangina’s sobs in the edit.
ooof that pangina elimination was dark… i’ve never seen something that dark on drag race eliminations… i get it that’s a competition and it’s all reality tv and you signed up for it but imo playing the game like that is dirty af… it was so so unfair #DragRaceUK

Posting on social media herself Pangina said she was “heart broken but never angry” adding, “Just because I did not get first place does not mean I do not feel like a winner. Because I do. No regrets.”
I was heart broken but never angry. So be the best version of yourself and do not send hate to @BluHydrangea_ I won’t have ANY of it. Just because I did not get first place does not mean I do not feel like a winner. Because I do. No regrets. Also I am such an ugly crier

She also told people not to direct hate towards Blu over her decision reminding people, “This is a competition and ppl go home. It is normal and I feel like a winner getting 8 news friends, showcasing myself and my culture and being on the best show in the world.”
Everyone please DONOT direct any hate towards @BluHydrangea_ if you feel some kind of way just tip me. This is a competition and ppl go home. It is normal and I feel like a winner getting 8 news friends, showcasing myself and my culture and being on the best show in the world.
