Duncan James has admitted he expects to be trolled over his “weight” and “Botox” ahead of an appearance on BBC One show MasterChef.
The Blue singer [pictured above last month since going on a health kick] will take part in the new series alongside the likes of Katie Price and Joe Swash.
Speaking about the show on Good Morning Britain today, the 43-year-old said when asked about homophobic online bullying: “It’s terrible actually.”

“Probably after MasterChef I’m gonna get a load of abuse because I had a bit more weight on there, and had a bit of Botox before I went in…” added Duncan, who obviously looks great.
“So I have got a bit of the old eyebrow thing going on because it hadn’t settled. So one thing I’ve learned is, never go on national television with fresh Botox!”
The ‘All Rise’ singer, who is gay, continued: “Online trolling is disgusting. Personally I believe that verification is needed [to have a social media account].

“If you are going to say something you’ll have to own what you say… If you went on television and say it you’d get crucified – something has to change!”
The star has previously opened up about the online abuse suffered by his 16-year-old daughter Tianie-Finn.
He told The Sun earlier this year: “She is at an age where she is very much into her phone, and her friends are all on social media platforms like TikTok — it’s very much her life.

“But she’s also aware that people could be horrible. People can be quite nasty about me being gay and say quite horrible things about the fact that I’m a gay dad.
“People have written to her, saying, ‘Isn’t it disgusting your dad’s gay? How do you feel? ‘You must be ashamed of him’, and stuff like that, and you’re just like, ‘Why are you writing to a kid saying stuff like that? Are you really crazy?’ People are just awful.”
MasterChef 2021 begins on BBC One on Monday, 9 August at 9pm
