Grindr has released more intriguing insights into its user base – including the countries with the highest percentage of hosts and married users.

The latest data, shared today with Attitude, also indicates which countries have the highest rate of users who don’t accept NSFW (not safe for work) pictures: namely India, Malaysia, Chile, South Africa, and Italy.

Of the five aforementioned countries, gay sex is only illegal in Malaysia, where it is punishable by up to 20 years in prison. Of the four remaining countries, the most recent to legalise same-sex sex was India in 2018.

Meanwhile, the countries with the highest percentage of married users are the USA, Ireland, Portugal, the UK and Spain.

The countries with the highest percentage of hosts are the USA, Chile, Brazil and Spain.

The latest data follows a release from Grindr last week revealing the countries with the highest number of tops, bottoms and vers users.

Colombia, the Philippines, Argentina, Israel, and India are the countries with the most tops; the countries with the most bottoms are Vietnam, South Africa, China, Peru, and Poland.

Finally, the highest percentage of vers users are found in Costa Rica, Romania, Czech Republic, Russia, and Venezuela.

Grindr – popular with (but not confined to) gay and bi men, and other men who have sex with men – has over three million daily active users worldwide.
