While celebrity stylist, model, and designer, Kyle De’Volle has shared his thoughts on the state of the fashion industry, stating that things are “a lot more fluid” than when he first started out.

Commenting on the state of the fashion industry at the moment Kyle, who is gender non-conforming, says being in the industry has been “difficult at times”.

Elaborating he says, “Things have definitely changed since I entered the fashion industry. I find that things are a lot more fluid, a lot more open. They were a lot more rigid back in the day when I first came on the scene.

“So I’d say, yeah, I’m very hopeful for the future of the fashion industry.”

Of his relationship with Kate Moss – or “Mamma K”, Kyle comments: “I’ve known Kate Moss a very long time. She was one of the first people, I’d say, in the industry that kind of welcomed me.

“She is one of the most loving, warm-hearted people I’ve met. I have so many fond memories of me and Kate but ones that I can’t divulge, unfortunately.”

Shown an image of himself dressed as Catwoman from Tim Burton’s 1989 Batman movie, Kyle explains his love of the iconic femme fatale.

“It just feels very similar to the comic books. I grew up reading Catwoman comic books.”

When it comes to an image of Kyle dressed in a Colmar puffer dress Kyle’s first thought is: “I couldn’t look amazing all the time.”

Going on to explain how the sportswear brand had sent Kyle options for the party they were throwing in London Kyle says he didn’t like any of them.

“They had shot this or made it for an editorial, which I had found, and I tried so hard to get this dress because at the time I thought it was the most amazing thing ever. Looking back now, it’s giving me Michelin Man. Yeah, but you live and you learn.”

Wise words.

As well as Kyle, Fashionlista sees RuPaul’s Drag Race alumni Bianca Del Rio, Drag Race UK‘s Tayce, ‘Love’s Got a Hold of My Heart’ singers Steps, and artist and Instagram sensation Alexis Stone look back over some of their iconic outfits.
