Madonna attended the premiere of her new tour documentary Madame X last night with boyfriend Ahlamalik Williams in tow.

The ‘God Control’ singer was joined by sons Rocco Ritchie and David Banda for the screening in New York City, with actress Drew Barrymore and RuPaul’s Drag Race star Symone also in attendance.

The pop icon wore a gold necklace reading ‘Trust No B****’ and a crown reading ‘F*** You’ for the event.

“Artists are here to disturb the peace”

“Madame X is at your doorstep,” said Madonna in an Instagram caption while sharing pics of the event, adding: “private screening tonight.”

Speaking to streamer Paramount+ (on which the film will be released) on the red carpet, Madge was asked what message she wants fans to take away from the film.

“Artists are here to disturb the peace,” she replied. “Wake people up, make people think, provoke people, inspire people.”

Asked which Madonna song she’d like to lip-sync to, Symone said: “Oh honey, I’d give it to them with ‘Like a Prayer’. Because at first it’s very spiritual, and then you go off! That’s very me!”

‘Madame X’ precedes an upcoming Madonna biopic cowritten with ‘Juno’ screenwriter Diablo Cody.

Madonna first shared news of the film last year, saying: “I want to convey the incredible journey that life has taken me on as an artist, a musician, a dancer – a human being, trying to make her way in this world.”

In a statement, the 62-year-old added: “The focus of this film will always be music. Music has kept me going and art has kept me alive. There are so many untold and inspiring stories and who better to tell it than me.

The film drops on Paramount+ on Friday 8 October 2021.
